Before you buy the travel bag.
The questions we get most.
Is it real leather?
Full-grain. The top layer of the hide, not split, not bonded, not polyurethane with a stitched-on tag. Most "leather" travel bags on the market are one of those three. Full-grain is the only kind that develops a patina — year three it looks better than the day it shipped.
How much does it actually hold?
Realistically: Precision Trimmer, 2× aftershave bottles, toothbrush, deodorant stick, razor, cologne, USB-C cable. Zips closed without straining. Sized to fit inside any standard carry-on and packs flat under TSA's 3-1-1 liquid rule when packed normally.
What about checked luggage abuse?
It survives. Leather is conditioned to take impact, the YKK zipper is industrial-grade, and the corners are reinforced. Customers have used the same bag for 4+ years across hundreds of flights and shipped it back to us only for one zipper repair.
Will the inside leak if a bottle pops?
The lining is wipe-clean coated canvas. A leak rinses out in 30 seconds with a damp cloth. The leather exterior repels splashes — water beads and rolls off without staining.
Care instructions?
Wipe with a damp cloth after travel. Once a year, condition with any quality leather conditioner (we don't sell one — just use what works for boots). Don't store wet. That's the whole routine.
Where is it made?
India. Full-grain leather sourced from a single family-owned tannery, finished at a workshop that has been making leather goods for 40+ years. Not "designed in California, made in China" — actually made by the people who know how to make it.
Does it come in other colors?
One color: a deep cognac that ages into something darker. We didn't make six colors because none of them age into the same patina. The point of full-grain is what it becomes — picking a color is picking a starting point.
